Why has the BTO site been created?

Within the Christadelphian Community there are many brethren and sisters who find themselves in isolation today.  However, with the incredible improvements in technology today, access to information and members of the community has become increasingly easier.   The BTO website provides the Community with access to some of the most helpful Bible Talks and Bible Expositions available today irrespective of a member's location in the world. It is our hope and prayer that this website will be a source of strength to members who use this service in whatsoever circumstances they may find themselves.

As we await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to set up God's Kingdom on Earth, we all have a responsibility to preserve the Truth that God has entrusted to us, professing clear and unambiguous proclamations of His Word that He has on record for us in scripture. While it is recognised and acknowledged that man is fallible, to the best of our knowledge and understanding, the Content included on this website is reflective of that Truth and every effort will continue to this end.

Paul's instruction to Timothy as a young man was to "Study to shew theyself approved of God" (2 Timothy 2:15). We hope that this website will be a valuable resource that our Young People will take full advantage of, thereby helping them and encouraging them to engage in profitable Bible Study for themselves.

Who maintains the BTO site?

The BTO site is maintained by Matthew Trowell with the endorsement and blessing of the Mississauga West Christadelphians. Contact information can be found in the ALS Diary - Ca. 30a

Why do you have "Terms & Conditions" for using this site?

There are two main reasons for Terms and Conditions of Use:

(i) This website has been provided primarily as a service for the Christadelphian Community.   However, it is hosted on a public domain and is, therefore, accessible by members of the general public. As such, the Terms and Conditions of Use sets out a clear understanding that BTO members must agree to in order to use the service, thereby protecting the integrity of the service and indemnifying and holding harmless speakers, presenters and those who have contributed to, and who maintain the site, against any potential legal issues that may arise as they may relate to Content hosted on this website.

(ii) There have been many people responsible for contributing content to this website. In some cases the Content has been provided upon certain conditions of use. We are most grateful to everyone involved in this project to the glory of our Heavenly Father. Members of the Christadelphian Community who use the service are asked to respect these Terms and Conditions of Use as a "Basis of Understanding" for using of this service.

I would like to help out with this project. What can I do to help?

The BTO archive is expected to reach over 4,000 talks by the end of 2006. Converting tapes from analogue to digital is a major task. Help would be most welcome in any of the following ways:

(i) If you are a member of a Bible School Committee, please arrange for talks to be made available to BTO in digital format and uploaded to BTO site. (Instructions on how to submit files and in what format can be found below.)

(ii) Let members of the Community know that the site is availble as a Bible Study resource using the "Tell-A-Friend" link on the homepage.

What Talks are in the pipeline for uploading to BTO?

The catalogue of Content being worked on is available at: http://www.bibletalksonline.com/pipeline2005.pdf This is constantly changing so please check back from time to time to review list. Refreshes of the site are made on average once per week with new talks added each week.   Should you have Talks that you are specifically interested in gaining access to, please contact us to request that these be "moved to the front of the line". We cannot guarrantee that all requests will be honoured, but we will do our best to accomodate such requests.
